♫ ABOUT  THE TEACHER

 Kathy Kok, B Com, CTMusA, Malaysia-born, reside in Perth since 1997. A qualified, passionate and experienced piano teacher. Been teaching from her private home studio since 1998. In 2016, Kathy was invited as guest speaker at the WA Australian Society for Music Education, ASME Summer Workshop on "How to be a professional private home-based music teacher". 

As a full time working mum, a piano teacher, as well as a "music mum", Kathy is able share tips on how to manage home piano practice challenges, as well as juggling school work and extra curricular activities. 

Kathy has more than 20 years experience in teaching. She is a great believer in developing strong foundation in all her students from the early stages. She specialises in teaching young beginners and has prepared students for AMEB exams at all grades. Kathy has been commended for her well-balanced weekly lessons as well as her fun and creative teaching strategies. She has the ability to communicate her solid knowledge in piano methods and techniques to young beginners and parents with limited or no music training.
